Willy Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 The things retired people do to keep busy. Dump trailer with elec lift built on an old husky chassis. One major design flaw pulls great but don't back Worth a darn. I'm going to eliminate the front axel and move the rear axel forward , that should take care of the problem. HubbardRA Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 With a lawn the size of the one in the pictures, why would you have to back up?:D
tracktor312 Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Looks good a single caster wheel on the front would be handy
Brettw Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 As long as you're retired with nothin' better to do, mites well add a seat, steering wheel, engine and drive train. Maybe an AM FM CD for your casual listening pleasure, some mirrors and certainly a few cup holders. Should be relatively easy to back up then.8D
comet66 Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Nice work! I never could get the hang of backing up a wagon. Darned farmers make it look easy.:D
bigtenboy65 Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 i love watching people trying to back wagons...which way do i turn

Less hand work that way.:D Posted - 07/01/2008 : 20:37:10 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As long as you're retired with nothin' better to do, mites well add a seat, steering wheel, engine and drive train. Robert Kehoe Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 I made a cart and put big caster wheels on the front and a fixed tongue. works great.
MarksA-C Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 I forgot who made this one, but this kind of steering should help with backing up. Uses the original parts and a few others...
