66Squire10 Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 Hi all, Well went and got the tractor I thought was a 9020, turns out it is a 4040. Wouldn't do anything when I first got it home but took the dash off and then it wanted to turn over. After charging the battery some I finally got it to start. Must be a short somewhere under the dash although I couldn't see any. While it was running I tried the back pto but that wouldn't work, may be a bad switch. The front pto I can see that engaging so I'm assuming it is working. Now when I shut it off it will start back up but if I wait alittle bit longer i have to jump it again, so I'm guessing it isn't charging or the battery is bad. I'm looking for any or all manuals for it. Does anyone have any, that I can get copies of? Any suggestions on my starting problem would be appriciated too. Vince

66Squire10 Posted July 3, 2008 Author Posted July 3, 2008 Already tried that. First put in 9907054040 then the ID number off of the tractor, 705002048, and it could not find any match's for those numbers.
