CDeHeer Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 I just snapped my PTO to mower deck belt 1/4 way into the front yard. Could anyone help with the required belt length? Also does this require 2 belts or a double V belt? It has been mowing with a single until today. Landlord 3310V / 42" rotary mower Any input is much appreciated.
CDeHeer Posted July 6, 2008 Author Posted July 6, 2008 Thank you. However I fail to find my required belt length on the chart. Deck Mfg# 990670
gregc Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 http://www.simpletractors.com/parts/belts/belts_pg5.htm Second one down.
CDeHeer Posted July 6, 2008 Author Posted July 6, 2008 A local dealer looked this part up and came back with a 49.9" belt. Of course it had to be ordered in. I picked up a 50" belt and finished the yard. I have a hard time beleiveng a 47.5" belt would work out. Thanks again.
Jac Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 I, too had this same problem with a 2010 and 42" deck. I ended up putting a belt 3" longer than what was called for. Haven't had a problem since. With tractors 40+ years old, who knows what was done.
dentwizz Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 1/2"x 44 or 45" has always worked on my landlords(9hp, 2010, 2210). As long as the wheelbase is not the longer Sovereign size I would be suprised you would need something different. In fact, the pto usually works better when it is pulled tight from a smaller belt.
