Ronald Hribar Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 My wife found a use for my new tractor fund !! There fore I'm thinking of a snwblower for my Grandson's 69 Broadmoor. This has the wertiacal shaft motor. What model snow blower should I be looking for? Is this the dreaded 3 belt snowblower ? There is one in the classifieds now, is this what I want? I have weights , and hi/low on tractor, probably will need set of chains too. Or would a walk behind be better until My wife's new patio is taken care of ?
Burntime Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 If its the 27 inch ish model like the yeoman or serf I have 3 of them I could take measurements for you.
Ronald Hribar Posted July 9, 2008 Author Posted July 9, 2008 a 25 foot driveway and 100 feet of side walk
Ronald Hribar Posted July 9, 2008 Author Posted July 9, 2008 I'm not sure what fits, Somone once referred to the tractor as a 728, I always call it a Broadmoor becuse that is what is on the seat pan.
BLT Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 If it is indeed a 728 here is the book. http://www.simplicitytechpubs.com/6767PRINT/PDF_files/TP_400_1316_00_AT_S.pdf Study the belt wrap as the early Broadmoors had more then one.
ehertzfeld Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 All the Broadmoors used a 32 inch blower. You will be surprised at how well it does clearing snow. Not as good as a large frame tractor, but it beets fighting a walk behind!:DdOd
MarksA-C Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Its a 32" snowblower you want to look for....I'll get pics of the classis style that works great for the boradmoors...
MarksA-C Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Ok, here are the pics... This is one mounted on my 707 (Tractor sold, keeping blower)...
Ronald Hribar Posted July 9, 2008 Author Posted July 9, 2008 What is difference between 32 and 27 inch blowers. OTHER than the 5 inches
MarksA-C Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 The 27" one is for the yeomans. The pulley on the hitch is at more on an angle. Thats about it...
ehertzfeld Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 They made two different hitches. One is like Marks with one pulley, and one with two pulleys side by side. Not sure witch one is better, but I think the single pulley hitch is an earlier one.
Burntime Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 I think I actually have the 32 inch ones? Checked, yep, I have 3 of them and hitchs. All 3 are in really great shape too.
MarksA-C Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 Elon, you are right. But the 2 pulley hitch is actually for the System 5010, A/C 610, and the homelite CT-10. They were the later year larger broadmoors.
bud119195 Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 The 27" is actually for the serfs and the 32" fits the Broadmoors and Yeomans, I run ablower 32" on my Yeoman and Broadmoor and they work really nice..
skot71 Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 I need a hitch like Mark showed in that second pic. Mark, you're teasing me with that!!!!!
av8tor Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Hmmmmmmmm sure looks like one of them will fit my 717 :}:} SUCH A DEAL I am looking for
