Foot Hydro

I've seen it mentioned a few times in here, and until recently I fogot about it. BUT...has anyone figured out a SAFE way to make a hand hydro unit into a foot controlled hydro? Seems to me that it can be done with some sort of cross shaft, putting a foot hydro on the left side of my 7116. Of course this will mess up my everyday driving habits, but when maneuvering around obstacles, not to mention blowing snow in the winter, it would be nice to have 2 hands on the wheel, (or free to raise/lower or rotate blower snout). Any thoughts/pictures/sketches out there?

I am getting started on the same thing. I will take a lot of pictures and post here as I go.

There was just a gth-l on ebay that did that. Very large pedal but owner said it worked well, I think the story was he had shoulder surgery and converted it.

member richp did that. As I remember, he had a link going from the hand lever to the petal, for just in case. I don't remember how he did the spring.

I could sure use a foot operated hydro on my 720. I run out of hands when using the loader, hydro and steering wheel.

I had a working system on my 7117, but it was not comfortable to use. Maybe it foot operated lift system could be made to work easier. And who can remember steering the ford tractor with your feet on the steering arms ?

If I ever get to doing my dream of a foot control on the 4040 I want to find an old Bobcat lift foot control and mount it into the running boards so both your feet are still parked level. Have run a few where the foot controling the hydro was higher or forward or back more then the other and after a few hours of operating it gets very uncomfortable.
