hdfx81 Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 I was mowing yesterday and developed a noise in the deck figured it was a bearing but when I checked it out it turns out the key way in the center arbor shaft is wallowed out making the pulley wobbly the pully hub is also sloppy. I found new shafts on ebay but no luck on the hub, I was hoping someone out there in simple tractor land may have a decent shaft and hub for sale. The shaft part #is 177499 and the hub is 176340.The bearings and everything else seems ok. Thanks Quote

Simpleton7016 Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 I have a couple of NOS shafts still in the bag, but they are marked part # 1685004....but they look the same and fit the measurements, etc. Maybe someone else more knowledgable than I (pretty much everyone) can tell you if this will work for you....if so, I can get it in the mail Monday morning - you can choose the speed with which you want to receive it. I have a Simplicity 3416H, it runs great but the cutting deck was neglected. What I need is a pulley hub #2176340, the hex nut #2717517 and the shaft. From what you guys said up above it is part #1685004SM and I believe it is 7 3/4" long. Quote
