dav Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 i have a new, never had gas in it, tank that came with a pile of Simplicity stuff. it is not for the B series-B1, B10, B12 etc. it measures 5 5/8 wide, 6 3/8 high, and 10 3/4 long. it is taller but narrower than the B series tank. the ends are crimped/soldered on and the cross section is almost square. the gas cap is larger than the B tank uses the cap and the outlet are about 3 3/4 from the same end. i know this is vague. does it sound like a tank that anyone can identify. looks like a mark where a sticker was on it once but not now. (cant post pics until the teenager gets off work to tell me, again, how to do it!)
wilm169 Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 That might be a tank off of the engines that had them mounted right on them.
dav Posted July 11, 2008 Author Posted July 11, 2008 the pic that RayS sent looks like it, right down to the lines across the end. i dont post pictures often so i forget how between times. the kids have to reeducate me each time. i have the kodak easyshare, which is an oxymoron.
HubbardRA Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 dav, I also have a Kodak EasyShare and it works great with my computers. Plug in the camera thru the cord that was provided with the camera. Turn on the camera and in a few seconds a screen will pop up asking which software to use. I always select Micosoft Scanner and Camera Wizard. That will scan the pictures that are on the camera and let you select which ones you want to put on the computer. Just select them and tell the software where to put them, and then they will be copied to the computer. As I said, very easy with the EasyShare camera.
wilm169 Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 I think I have found the place your tank was used. http://cgi.ebay.com/Antique-Simplicity-Lawn-Tractor-Wonder-Boy-700_W0QQitemZ250269999483QQihZ015QQcategoryZ50377QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
HubbardRA Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 I looked today and it is the same tank that is on my 61 Wards Squire also.
