Difference between 300 and 400 series

Our 416H is currently down because the engine needs a rebuild, so we are looking into a 312H that is very cheap. They look to be about the same, so I was wondering what the main differences between them were.

The mule drive bolts on not hooked, the side panel has 2 bolts at the top and the 400 has 1, seat is differant, the mule drive on some were manual not elect, some other small detailes.

Will things like snow blowers, mower decks, plows, etc.. interchange between them?

Yes most will, some times you need the ones that mount back on the frame and not the axel.

GAs tanks are metal in the 300 series, not plastic.
