qtown7116H Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Woke up Sat morning to see the church folk next door, going to town with a sod cutter on the softball field, coverting it to a dirt infield. Needing some sod, I wandered over and got permission to dispose of it. While there, I mentioned that I hadn't seen the older gent that used to cut the grass recently. They said he had passed on last year and they were paying a landscaper to do the grass now. I remembered that he had been using a 7100 or 7000 of some variety, and had a trac vac with it. Always wanted to get to know him,and the tractor, but didn't get the chance. WELL...I asked what became of the tractor, and the gent told me they sold it at a yard sale. With the trac vac, and a field roller, and a brand new engine...ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS! I bet whoever it was RAN away from there before they realized he had stolen it. If anyone from the club grabbed it, great score. It was here in SE PA, right outside of Quakertown.
