Has anyone (perhaps Simplicity themselves) reported how much each of their products weighs? I want to get some estimates on shipping a MacKissic shredder. One thing I know is that the effer is heavy! Real heavy.... and awkward. If I heave it up on the family bathroom scale, my wife will go ballistic and I will resemble John Bobbit in very short time!!

E-mail Mackissic and ask them. They have an excellent customer service department.

Good idea! Then I will start compiling a list of weights for various attachments. We can put it in the Tech Tips section and it will serve as my crowning achievment.

I belive most of the tractors and implement shipping weights are listed on the SimpltrACtors site. Look for the price lists in the Simplicity section. http://www.simpletractors.com/simplicity/price_lists.htm

Personally, the weight of the attachment, tractor fanatic or not, would not be important enough to end up sans very important body parts. I would simply say, "boy this is heavy!" and leave it at that. All that being said, when I think back of the times I risked my own manhood (melted Tupperware, blown up stainless steel bowl (don't ask) miscellaneous alternate uses for kitchen tools, I can only cringe and smile all at the same time. Ahhhhhhh such fond memories..........:D

Roy was correct...great service. See below: Dear Mr. Heckers, I referred your e-mail to our service tech. The weight of the unit was 135# and was built from 1964 to 1984. Your unit appears to have been built around 1968-1969. Regards, Sharon Christman MacKissic, Inc.
