CHolmes Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 I bought a 2010 and was wondering if I should change the oil in the Hydro unit, It works very well but I can imagine when it was changed last. I like to swap all fluids in anything I buy so I know it has been done but with this I am thinking I may be better off alone. Are these little pumps finicky or pretty robust? Anyone know how much oil they hold? Is there a fill plug on top or just the one on the side?
Kent Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 The manual says to change the oil every 25 hours, unless I'm mistaken, so I think changing it now would be prudent. I don't change mine that often, but...
Kent Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 I don't think it would make a significant difference, unless it would be in how fast it "warms up to operating speed" in really cold winter weather... Just a good standard 30W oil...
