Roy Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Made a cap for the 3212V steering wheel. It's shinny but shows my poor machining skills. This is the first attempt. I may redo it and reduce the height some.
B-16_IC Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Looks classy to me.dOd Is this a press fit into the wheel?
dirtmister16 Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 sure is pretty, i could use one of them on my HB212, save my orginal cap from the weather.
Roy Posted July 21, 2008 Author Posted July 21, 2008 Is a light press fit into the wheel. Just enough to keep it in without cracking the wheel I hope. Thanks everyone. :)
firefoxz1 Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 Looks high so you can push it down for a horn}:):o) for those lawn rage incidentssm00. Seriously it looks good but agree it is a little tall.
Roy Posted July 28, 2008 Author Posted July 28, 2008 Modified the steering wheel cap in anticipation of the "S" decal I am awaiting. Made it a little thinner and put a recess/counter-bore in for the decal. All now,
MDB Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Looks great, Roy There could possibly be a market for those steering wheel caps....:D
firefoxz1 Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 A1 jobdOd. Those two little modification makes it look just right. Maybe it's just the recess but whatever it is I like it8D.

MPH Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Looks real good Roy. Must be nice to have too much time on your hands, least you got the motivation to use it well^
Roy Posted July 29, 2008 Author Posted July 29, 2008 Decals and steering wheel caps are available from: "http://customtractorparts.bravehost.com/center_caps.html" I am getting my "S" decal from him. Amazingly, I was unaware he made the caps and my design is very similar to his. World is full of coincidences. His caps look much better than mine but obviously he has had more practice. "Retired" helps immensely with having available time to play. :) Thanks all,
Roy Posted August 6, 2008 Author Posted August 6, 2008 Put an "S" decal I got from olecowhand (Daniel Perkins) today. Failed to hit the exact center of the cap but is close enough for now. I like it. :) Thanks Daniel.
firefoxz1 Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 I like it, but was hoping it would have a white background.
Roy Posted August 6, 2008 Author Posted August 6, 2008 Thom, Talk to olcowhand. He can probably make whatever colors and design you like. Or, paint the background white and then put the decal on.
olcowhand Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 Putting an "S" on a white background would be no problem at all.
