JMAC Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 I am going to look at this today. The pics make it look good.If the ad is true,is this a good price for this model?Where is the serial no and such located? Thanks for the help. http://kansascity.craigslist.org/grd/751704055.html
goatfarmer Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Price seems a bit high, but not outrageous. On my 712H, the data plate is located between the seat, and dash area, where the shifter on a 3 speed would be located.
Brent_Baumer Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Depends on how you look at it. Have I seen better deals? Yes. Will there likely be a better deal come along in your area soon? Who knows. Can you buy a comparable machine today for even 1/10th that money? NO! Any 700/7000/900/7100 in good operating condition with a deck for under $1000 is a great deal if you need one when you look at it in comparison to what you get when you buy a new garden tractor. Heck, I don't even know if they make a tractor comparable to these machines anymore. If they do it would probably be $5-$10K.
Mike Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 I think thats a good price, just remember "Rarely does any One Pay Full Price On The Craigslist"
babablacksheep Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 As any member of this club will tell you, the cheaper you can get it, the better. That way you have more money to buy the next one that comes along and start building a fleet. Looks like a good deal for the money. Just consider it probably sold for better than $3000 new. Figure in inflation and you would probably be paying over $15,000 for an equal tractor today.
