Brettw Posted July 26, 2008 Posted July 26, 2008 If anyone has any experience with a lawn revitalizer attachment, I would appreciate some input. I believe they were designed for the large frame tractors, but I do not see it in the 7100 series attachments and accessories manual. One is for sale locally, but it seems a bit steep at $ 350.00 Thanks in advance for the help.
RayS Posted July 26, 2008 Posted July 26, 2008 They will fit right on a 7100 series. I sold one a couple of months ago to a club member for the same price. Make sure the tines are in good condition, they are no longer available.
Simpleton7016 Posted July 26, 2008 Posted July 26, 2008 Agreed....I just sold mine for $300 in the same market as you. It is a great attachment and I put a lot of man hours in restoring mine, but it just isn't practical for my purposes (meaning, with two small kids). I have a word document that I compiled with a ton of info from the site and lots of pictures. I will forward to your e-mail, but it was too large to upload.
CarlH Posted July 26, 2008 Posted July 26, 2008 There are 2 versions of the revitalizer. One for small frame tractors and one for large frame tractors. Be sure the one you're looking at is right for your tractor.
Brettw Posted July 26, 2008 Author Posted July 26, 2008 I am not quite sure I understand. It is a great attachment but kids make it impractical? Does it eat kids? If not what exactly does it do? Thatch, aerate? If it does a great job on the lawn, I'll hide the women and children until I'm done. :D
KenK Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 It thatches and aerates in one pass. I only had 1 problem with mine.I had a little creeping charlie in the yard and after using the thatcher I had spread it all over the yard.
Simpleton7016 Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 very funny!!! It combs the grass and dethatches. But you essentially have to make two passes (one to dethatch, and one to mow and suck it all up. With kids, there is really not enough time for one pass....much less two! :D
