People now know I'm interested in AC's. So folks attending our auctions frequently tell me about AC tractors that they want to sell or have seen somewhere. We didn't have an auction here today so I checked these two out and bought them. A 720 and a 916. Believe me, I don't buy them unless the are very very low priced and close to home.

Very nice looking tractors. You should do well with them. ^

In the last picture, what is that thing around the deck on the 916? It looks like and old style runner for a sleigh or something....

Nice finds, 2 powermaxes in 1 week, the 916H looks good too, is that a D14 in the background? What AC farm tractors do you have around there?

*In the last picture, what is that thing around *the deck on the 916? It looks like and old style *runner for a sleigh or something.... It looks like he bolted part of a lawn chair on there to maintain the cutting height on that side. The other side scalps and the front is set about 3/4 inch lower than the average of the back. That's probably why he quit using it. Also the hydro creeps. We can fix all that.

*...is that a D14 in the background? *What AC farm tractors do you have around there? Yes, that is a D14. I bought that in an auction about three weeks ago. It rained an inch and a half during the auction. They sold it during the heaviest part of the storm. Everyone ran for cover except me and one scrapper. He quit at $475 and I got it for $500. It had a hornets nest in the clutch houseing which discouraged some faint hearted buyers. We had to split the tractor to get the hornets out. I have a B, CA, D10, D12, WD45, 180 and a TractoMoto loader. I use the D10 most often. I was a dairy farmer for 40+ years and probably owned over a 100 different tractors but this D10 is the nicest tractor that I ever drove. I took it to a tractor show in Mansfield and took the following picture of it there with a Ford 2 bottom plow that we have. Out of over 150 tractors at the show I had the second most rusty tractor there. I put wax on my rust and washed the tires. I thought it looked pretty good.
