acfarmer Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Just brought in a 20HP Sunstar with a Kohler Command 2 cylinder engine. Its only firing on one cylinder by that I mean one of the wires going to one of the plugs is dead no spark in it whatsoever.Any opinions? And do both cylinders fire at the same time? If so would it work to run a jumper from the other plug? thanks
KenK Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 I think they have separate coils to each plug. You probably have a bad coil. You will have to remove the engine to get the fan shroud off. You can have the engine pulled in about 30 minutes.
BLT Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 A V twin engine fires each cylinder separately. An opposed twin fires both cylinders together.
