started a new project last week. this is my first tractor painting with a spray gun. sm00 i picked this sovereign up from a club member in my local area. then a wheel horse buddy of mine gave me some free allis implement orange and allis cream paint. so thats the colors i am going with. it is going to be repowered with a 14hp briggs and i have a hydro lift to install on it. its stripped down to the frame and i started the painting process today. i will have pics tomarrow. i hope it gos well 8D

Heya Perry.....This one was painted with a HVLP gun and it was my first attempt at using a spray gun. It's not as scary as some think. Just so long as you mix the proper amounts of hardener and reducer with the base paint, it should turn out looking nice and even through out. Looking forward to your finished product!!!

Just remember to clean the gun right after you use it. I had a cheapo gun a few years ago that I forgot to clean until the next day, what a mess. That gun got junked and I bought another cheapo that I still use for all but my sheet metal. For that I use a Devilbiss gun. Looks like you have a nice and straight tractor to start with! Dan

I learned the hard way too Dan...only it was with a rummage sale HP gun. That's when I got the HVLP. Love it! Way less over spray and in my opinion, much more control. Looking forward to your progress Perry!
