MarksA-C Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Its been a while before I've actually posted anything of my own. I finally got my 6518 done and ready for plowing. I changed the wheels to ones with more Clearance, I got the hitch and lift all ready, and I got a new 10" or 11" Brinly plow. I got the plow off Craigslist for $50, the guy said he only used it once but it sat out for a few months after they moved... I like it! I tested it on my front yard where my dad needed it dug up. The 6518 after plowing... Plow and hitch all set! The plow raised... The test area There used to be a big pinetree there... It worked nicely... I also have a disk (Got it for $20 a few weeks back) and my seed spreader. And there is the old plow.
Roy Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 Mark, You sure are making that tractor earn it's keep. And, you are getting darn good buys on the attachments. ^ Carry on,
RedbarnRick Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Mark glad you posted something! I was afraid you done got a girlfriend and was leavin ussm02
MPH Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Nice score on the plow and disk. You take a wire wheel to that plow and clean the rust off it'll roll the dirt over a WHOLE lot better. Then smear gun grease all over it before you put it away.
timack Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 Keep up the good work, you're starting to show us all up!
perry Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 nice attachments mark 8D' i cant tell, but what hole do you have the plow hitch pin/bolt in ? the brinley manual calls for the far left hole on my old landlords. it gives it the proper angle when running furrows. the 3 mounting holes on the plow are to give it angles for different tractors. it go's by the inner measurements of the rear wheels. have fun with it. plowing is one of my favorite things to do. just wish i had more room. its about 95% woods here. you can kinda see the angle in these pics.
