Borrow a tiller from somebody?

This might be inappropriate to ask but is there anyone in Connecticut with a tiller that fits a '66 Landlord who's willing to loan it to me? If I break it, I fix it, pay to have it fixed, or just buy it outright. Do other people in these forums ever borrow attachments from other owners? I could use a tiller but don't need it more than once or twice. Plus I've run out of garage space for more attachments. Thoughts? Comments? Anyone selling a tiller? :) Jason 2010 Landlord

Jason if the area you need worked up is big enough, just announce a plow/till day and cook-out then sit back and watch others do the work for you! It's also a great way to meet other tractor nuts and fellowship!

Well, gas is expensive and you live 160 miles from me. But I have a 2010 that won't be on its feet for a while that has a heavy duty 32" tiller you can borrow. In all honesty you could rent a tiller for less than the gas cost 160 miles times four.

Here's one fairly cheap and maybe not too far away: http://www.simpletractors.com/club2/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=98082

If it has the idler pulleys that fit over the rod that extends out from the rear lift, you could use it. You need a 5" pulley for the BGB and a belt about 8" shorter than used on the B 212. I sold a 36" tiller to a club member(KraigR) a few years back that uses it on a 2110 or Landlord 101. He would know what belt lenght that you would need. It should be around 88 inches.

never mind borrowing a tiller, get to work on getting a bigger garage!
