Simpleton7016 Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Is anyone able to readily identify these hitches? The one on the far right is for the EZ Rake I just bought from Lloyd....but as Levi pointed out, I will need to modify it to make it work in conjunction with the deck and vac. The reason is because the deck is going to occupy the mounting bracket holes under the front of the tractor. I am not sure what either of the two left ones are or what they came off of....but they are each candidates for my soon-to-be custom hitch.
wilm169 Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Erik I did not modify the regular B hitch, I used the one for the 3400-7000 snow blower. That way it would work under the the tractor to the front clutch, unless you are putting this on a B or such.
MarksA-C Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Far left is part of a Broadmoor plow hitch and middle....no clue...
Simpleton7016 Posted August 16, 2008 Author Posted August 16, 2008 I have that hitch somewhere...my first year with a snowthrower I ran off of the front clutch....but I thought it still need to be pinned through the mounting holes that the deck hooks to. I will have to go dig it out....sure wish I were rid of that heavy effin powermax deck....I am sick of moving it to get to my other shtuff!
wilm169 Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Stand the deck up against the fence or shed and tie it, you can't hurt it. You just need to cut and weld the hitch to fit inside the deck mounts, so you can get the deck in the mounts and pin the front hitch at the same time. Looking at the pic above on the right side cut it where the pin is in the back ground, narrow it and reweld it. GOOD to go.
