ZippoVarga Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 That's all a matter of your personal preference. I like the old round hoods. I have two 64 Landlords and two 64 B-10s. My buddy likes the next generation of flat hood tractors, then there's those here who like the running board tractors. One will jump out at ya at some point and that will be the one for you. Be sure to let us know what you decide on.
goatfarmer Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 The next one to get, is the one that gives you the most tractor, for the least amount of money!:D

richp Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 What have you had in the past? I get bored with a model after a few years and always move on to a different model.
rsnik Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Jace, I see from your profile you are a young man. There are many young men in the club who started with a Broadmoor and moved up. I would say watch out for getting "over tractored". If you bite off more than you can chew you get frustrated and start hating it. Unless you or a family member has a large, heated shop, extensively equipped, a tear-down-to-the-last-bolt project is going to bog you down. I would say look for a tractor you really like that does not require huge amounts of mechanical repair due to wear or sitting around outdoors for decades. You want a tractor you like that you get for a good price because it needs some cosmetics and a general going over to bring up to good condition but nothing overwhelmingly complicated and expensive.
dentwizz Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 If you want some nice around the yard handling but the landlord chassis, I would say the 64s would be a good, round-hooded choice. I started on flat hood landlords and I must say the snappy response of the early geared steering grew on me:D
