How do you hook up a snow blower to a land lord don't you need a pulleys.

What landlord do you have? They manufactured the Landlord for about 35 years. If you have a landlord made in the 60`s you will need a 4 1/2" pulley on the engine and the hitch has pulleys as well. If it is for a 3314V you will need a front PTO that fastens to the engine. You should download the operators manual from the Simplicity website. It will explain it step by step. Type in the Mfg. No. of your snowblower in the box and you will be able to download a pdf file. http://www.simplicitytechpubs.com/techpubsearch_stp.php

Every one I've seen used a pulley of some sorts....

The early ones used a pulley that was attached at a bearing, with a fixed-length bar to the blower assembly hitch. Supposedly it kept it from getting lost. History will tell, that was not always successful.
