LesH Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Has anyone used a 12 volt snowplow pump for hydraulics on their tractor?? For blade or implement lifting. If so, could you post some photos?? Thanks.
cruzer Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 I have a 12volt pump from a dump truck kit that I thought about useing. Probably suck alot of power from the battery. Not sure if the generator can keep up with the power draw.
DMedal Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 power draw is way more than your S/G can put out. It would work ok for occasional use, but if you're doing work where you go up/down/up/down a lot (like if you were lifting a tiller at each end of a row) you'll run the battery down.
babablacksheep Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Hi. If you can figure out a way to mount it, Harbor Freight sells a nice reversible 12 volt winch with remote and lots of cable. I use one to raise and lower a swing up 12 foot door on my shop. When they are on sale, they go for $49.95. Capacity is 1000lb and they pull very little power.
