3212 Steers Hard

My 3212V steers harder than I like. Put needle thrust bearings on the front spindles and cannot tell that they made much difference. With the wheels off the ground all is free and easy. Drive it and the steering is still hard to turn. :( Only cures I can think of are tri-ribs and/or the narrow rims & tires. Anyone have better/other suggestions???? Thanks,

I just went through that on mine. It sounds obvious, but lube the heck out of your u-joints on the steering shaft, and the tie rod ends. You would be amazed how a little bit there translates to a big feel.

I correct myself, 'drag link ends' not 'tie rod'

Roy, is your differential working? If your different has adjustment screws set to the specified torque settings...25 ft-lb .
