Roy Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 My 3212V steers harder than I like. Put needle thrust bearings on the front spindles and cannot tell that they made much difference. With the wheels off the ground all is free and easy. Drive it and the steering is still hard to turn. :( Only cures I can think of are tri-ribs and/or the narrow rims & tires. Anyone have better/other suggestions???? Thanks,
dentwizz Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 I just went through that on mine. It sounds obvious, but lube the heck out of your u-joints on the steering shaft, and the tie rod ends. You would be amazed how a little bit there translates to a big feel.
dentwizz Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 I correct myself, 'drag link ends' not 'tie rod'
skunkhome Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Roy, is your differential working? If your different has adjustment screws set to the specified torque settings...25 ft-lb .
