Info desired on 416H and 919H garden tractors

Tom, the 416 is much harder to get parts for. The 919 is much easier. The 416 is no longer made and the only parts that are Simplicity is bevel gear box and transaxle, not that many old ones around. The transaxle is the Vicker's Hydro >>> parts no longer available. The engine is a K341S Kohler and parts are still available. The 919 - all parts are still available from Simplicity. I bought a 917 (without hydraulic lift) good condition for $450, but the dealer believed the engine was poor, engine and whole tractor turned out to be in very good condition (electrical problem with engine). Good Luck Mike.

Know of two A-C garden tractors going up for sale. Was wondering if parts for the S. Carolina-made 416H are still readily available from Simplicity? Does anyone have any idea on pricing - what might these units in reasonable condition sell for? Are there any weaknesses (gasp-no!) on these models we should watch out for or inspect before purchase? Even anecdotal experiences can help guide our spending! Thanks....Tom
