3314 lift lever latch info

Recommended Posts

OK, I can't find the actual latch's that I have pulled off a couple tractors in the past, but I found some sketches of one that I was able to copy when I first noticed them. I made my own, then found some OEM ones on parts tractors later. As you can see in the notes, you will need to make everything, or source it from someone other than Simplicity. Hope the pics and the drawings help. I had the one I made on a 7016. Makes blade use - dozer or belly grader - easy if you are constantly making adjustments to height - don't have to hold your thumb on the button to allow the lever to move. Tim

Also, look up a 3314 parts manual to help understand how this goes together.

The wave washer/spring washer is in there to help keep some tension on the latch, so it doesn't just flop around. To put the latch in place, you would pull out slightly - which the wave washer lets you do, then put it in place under the lift lever lock, to hold it up and allow the handle to float.
