Mounting a side sickle bar?

Greetings!! I'm new here & new to the Simplicity fan hood as well but I have a beauty of an old 69 I believe Sovereign 3112. I tracked down & found an old rusty but complete side sickle bar. I managed to mount it just fine with lots of WD40 & elbow grease but theres something missing. According to the specs on this site I need a belt # 101136 but there just has to be more? There needs to be a kit of some sort down there because I don't see where the belt would even hook up to? Can someone shed some light on this for me please? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks a million!

sounds to me like your missing the center PTO. For the sickle mower you need to have 2 pullies on it and the sickle mower belt goes on the small one.

It is a lever and a pulley that sits under the front edge of the seat (but under the tractor). It is also called a PTO. When the lever is engaged the pto will spin and engage the sickle bar or the mower deck. if you look at older tractors on this site, you will see what I'm talking about. jh
