Started tilling today with my Simp 725 Briggs Model 19 8.25 hp. While getting the trac ready last week I noticed it would run for a while then starve for fuel. Readjusted the float to be horizontal when upside down. Worked fine then went in for lunch. Camer back and it, after a while would bog down at high rpns. Adjusted high speed needle but would only do higher rpms if the choke was on half way. Also noticed fuel leakage where the bottom half of the carb holding the float connects to the carb body. Points and condenser are new and seem to be opening fine. Thoughts??? Thanks Ken Williams

Sounds like you have a fuel restriction. If after it starves out and stalls can you let it sit for 30-60 seconds then its starts real good? Could be debri in tank, line, filter, and or Carb. Ive seen this with all my old tractors. Dont do anything drastic on adjustments until you've checked your gasoline flow. Good Luck Beamer

I wonder if that is the same carb as on my Landlord 101 with a 10hp Briggs. I am having the same problem as of today. I was advised by a small engine mechanic to soak the upper part of the carb in carb cleaner, that I may have varnish or debris in the upper part of the nozzle sleeve. I haven't been able to try it yet.
