MPH Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 As my lift quit working while blowing snow yesterday I started into it tonight. Wasn't so lucky to find a sheered key so I pulled the pump. Bench testing all seems well. Pushes 800 lbs each way, IF I change the gauge to each hose on the cyl. Should have taken this pic with the rod extended, then it would show pressure. This one I got glare on the gauge glass but it is just under 800psi. So, guess it's off with the cab, tear the tractor half down and get the cyl out. All I can think is I blew the O rings out in it. Too look for such a simple problem Had I not went out this morning with the preset mind of needing to pull the cyl I wouldn't of had to even remove the cab to fix the problem. Seems strange it would have unscrewed in 3-4 years since I put it on, hope the red locktite holds. Oh well, least while the cab is off I can check things out under the seat pan, adjust the Var. drive, then make up my mind if I want to put the cab back on.
perry Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 i am in the same boat. i put a allis B-10 together friday and will finish out the winter with it. my landlord with the cab has the bad hydro lift. let us know what you find.
GregB Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 Marty, If you cannot find the o-rings locally send me a pm. I bought big bags of each when I was re-building mine, I'll throw some in an envelope if you need them.
Kent Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 Well, at least it is a simple fix, Marty... :OB):D
msiebern Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 Had that happen to my 112 last spring. To be honest, I had forgotten about it until I saw your pictures. Mine buggared up the threads enough that I had to chase them with a tap and die to reinstall it. Glad it was something simple.
BLT Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 Marty, sandwich,if you have one, an internal tooth lockwasher between nut and clevis. That will help also.
MPH Posted February 8, 2009 Author Posted February 8, 2009 Nut??? now that makes sence, lock it on. didn't see one and never thought about it.
MDB Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Looks like you lucked out with a simple fix on that one Marty.:D
MPH Posted February 9, 2009 Author Posted February 9, 2009 Hey Bob, surprized at myself for not seeing a lock nut even on the spare cyl I used in testing, which can be seen in the 1st pic, I looked at the Landlord, no lock nut there either so this morning I looked in my B-112 parts book and it does not show a lock nut either on the rocker arm end, only on the BGB box end. Am I missing something here?? Thanks
BLT Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 You're right. Used common sense, shouldn't have. Then the only way you can get it real tight is with the ram out and and tightened before ass'y. That seems silly.
