More Backhoe progress was made this weekend. I fired it up this morning or the first time. Yippee, no leaks! I only need to attach cutting edge and teeth to the bucket and it's ready to dig. Thanks, Agco918. I have to give some credit to the guys that sent me pics and owners manuals for the Brantly backhoe. Also one of my customers, Mike Piazza, (distant relation to the ball player) who owns a welding company. His fine work made it look good. The cutting I did with a Makita recipro saw, and Morse cobalt blades. I drilled/sawed holes with a B&D benchtop drill press, believe it or not. I also used Morse Real Mcoy hole saws 1-5/8 for the holes where mechanical tubing bushings went thru the plate. It's unbelievable how much steel you can cut with one of those hole saws if you use cutting oil or just a water spray bottle. Powermax_Paul

Paul, I have been watching your progress. That is very impressive to see what you have done. I think that most of us members enjoy hearing the scoop ( no pun intended ) on how you did it, what was involved and so on. What did you use for your cylinders ? Where did you get them ? It's definately inspirational seeing the progress pictures. Keep us posted on how it works. Thanks for sharing this info. Al
