jtlee75 Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Ok guys. I have read and searched repeatedly for the answer but no results yet. I have an AC 712 Shuttle. I am trying to figure out how to adjust the traction control. I have not been able to find any adjustment on this thing. I have downloaded all the manuals that i can find but no avail. Any ideas? TIA Oh...Doesn't seem to have the set screws that are mentioned in all the other posts that i read.
bigtenboy65 Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 im not sure but you should be able to adjust the traction control by torquing the two bolts on the right hub(looking at tractor from rear) to twenty five foot pounds i think
wilm169 Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 To tighten it up you have to open it and washer it up under the springs.
dentwizz Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 In the later models they eliminated external adjustments. The adjustments on such will be through friction washers inside the differential hub. I am not sure which one you have but its possible that is the case.
jtlee75 Posted February 22, 2009 Author Posted February 22, 2009 any idea what size and thickness these washers need to be? I can make or buy and machine anysize i need but I need to keep the tractor usable till I have the stuff to adjust it.
dentwizz Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I can't say off the top of my head but they will either be 5/16 or 1/4 inch thin washers. Stack them to produce different hieght values depending on the need. Keep in mind what you do to one you must do to all.
