bud119195 Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 I picked up another 627 Yeoman with a 8hp Briggs in it that will not start . It has spark great compression and backfires through the carb. Any thoughts what to look for?
steve-wis Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Todd, Sure sounds like the key to me too. Only other thing might be if the gap between the flywheel and the coil somehow got moved. Steve
bud119195 Posted March 5, 2009 Author Posted March 5, 2009 Got it going Nut on flywheel was loose and key didn't look good.Nowthe only thing that sucks is I notice someone swapped 3 speed for a 2 speed rear end Thanks Guys
xenon172 Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Flywheel key or possibly maladjusted points or a bad condenser

bud119195 Posted March 5, 2009 Author Posted March 5, 2009 After looking a model# found out it is actually a Model#990764 637. Now that I got it running I need to find a deck in all my parts and put it to work along with my 5 other yeomans
