Zach Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 In that first video, Why would you just sit there and wear out those nice tires?
xenon172 Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 I've always wondered why so many tractors have dented front ends and banged up grills. Now I knowsm01
PeppyDan Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 quote:Originally posted by Zach In that first video, Why would you just sit there and wear out those nice tires? If you put the tires on backwards (which they did not) and spin the tires on cement (adding a little water to keep from overheating the cement) it will sharpen the tires for pulling without looking like they have been professionally sharpened. I've heard of this done frequently in local farm tractor pulls where the rules state "No sharpened tires but normal road wear is acceptable". Many people hook the tractor to a tree or semi with a chain to the hitch and just put the tractor in reverse. Dan
MowerMechanic Posted March 8, 2009 Author Posted March 8, 2009 thoses are just the cheapo tires. Carlisle's going on before the next pull.
