does anyone know if they have the plastic shift buttons for a hi-lo kit for a broadmoor, or is making them the only option. if making them is the only option, whats your opinion, aluminum or plastic? the aluminum might make some noise when the planetary part is spinning but it will also be stronger? is it common that one side of the button burns off, or did the previous owner abuse it? thanks for any input Bill

They are NLA and very difficult to find. They are "wear parts" so it is not surprising that one side is worn off if it was used a lot. If things are aligned properly, it will greatly reduce the wear. They should be fairly easy to make - I have even considered making them out of hard wood. I have not had to do this because mine are not worn yet. Tom

I made both of them on my small lathe and mill, I used a white nylon called UHMW we used where I used to work.
