picked up a 1961 simplicity 725 on craigslist today. pretty decent shape, brand new muffler, tiller bgb pulley, and brand new rear tires that still have the teets on the tread. this one should be a keeper. is the white seat with orange sides correct ?, and does the instrument panel & cables look correct ? Not a bad looking score. Looks like the last owner had or wantted a Landlord, so he stripped the hood. The cable look to be off a Ll mounted vertical instead of horiz. Bummer the chrome signature is missing

Except for the light switch I think my dash is oem

Not sure about the seat, thought all 725's were suppose to have the round shaped seats, can't remember for sure what the daddycat had desifered in a very indepth research he did years ago.

Guys that seat is original. I hsve one on my 725 the early 725s had that seat. And mine also has the short steering wheel too. Ill post a picture later. I'm on my ipod right now and can't post pics. Mike

perry my 725 is an early one. it was one of the first 725's made. its part of the changeover to the 725 series from the 700's. thus mine has that same seat and the short shaft steering collumn. If i can get a good picture tonight ill post it up for you. Mike

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
