Firestone tri-ribs

Nubian

Recommended Posts

Hello all! I purchased a set of 2 new tri-ribs 16X6.50X8 on 12/26/07 from Miller Tire.To my horror I just noticed cracks on the side walls and by the side ribs which looks like it wants to seperate from the tire. Max tire pressure is listed @ 28psi, mine was kept at 20psi. Has anyone else experienced this? I will post pix's tomorrow.

I've had a pair of them for some time with no problems (that I know of at this moment). I have always had tubes in them but I'm sure that my tire pressure is similarly set. I hope that your case is an isolated one......

The owners manuals for my AC 300/400 series tractors specify only 10 pounds for the front tires and 8 pounds for the rear tires. I usually try to keep them close to those pressures and have not had problems.

I bought a set about a year ago from MIller, run 28 lbs and have not noticed any problems . They should make this good. At $140.00 for a set they should last a long time. Anxious to find out what Miller says the problem is.

I have had a set on 917AC for awhile. I run about 18psi, but did have a problem this winter with one of them. It is a fairly stiff tire in Minnesota weather, and I did not realize I had a slow bead leak. Through my own ignorance I was running it with next to no pressure, I have noticed some checking in the sidewall. I repaired the bead leak, and all seems fine, except for my pride.

They are sending me a new set for $49.65 and told me to keep the old ones, they did not even want to see a picture.

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
