OrangeMetalGuy Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Had the hood up today... found that the air intake cover has a sticker that says 12HP, but the block has "K341" stamped on it (a 16HP engine)... wondering if someone changed out the engine during the tractor's history to a K341 but put on the original intake cover?
MarksA-C Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Original tins on a new motor, looks stock but upgraded. Thats what I think.
MrSteele Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Such will run one ragged looking for parts. The old Landlord I have had a 70 or so model 10 HP Briggs with a 23D cover..that means I tried for a bit to find parts for the old engine, and finally had to measure the bore and work backwards to find the model number.
xenon172 Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Count the head bolts. If there are 10 it's a K341. The K241-K321 only have 9
