nateb17010 Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 has any one seen this? I was looking at a Allis Chalmers book I bought at a large book store. when I seen this I was wandering if any one know what ever happened or if it still in use? it was used in Milwaukee. thanks much for any info.

CleanBee Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 I rode on one of these when I was a kid also. I recall for years going to the zoo and wanting to ride this and the mini steam train. My parents were very frugal and all I did was admire both of them, more than the animals. I think I was about 9 when my best friends parents took me to the zoo and without even asking let us go for rides. For a boy, this was quite the event. Funny thinking back.
samson Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 Yes, I rode it in about 63 0r 64. It is not in use now as there is a more modern train unit. I hope they get one here at the zoo in NC. It would be cool.
