simplejim Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 i had the 700 out of the shed the other day so i snapped a few pictures.
dirtsaver Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Real nice Jim! The Wheel Horse looks lik a 520H,is the green thing a 112 or 116? If I can make a suggestion on your Simplicity, run a stabilizing strap from the engine over to the exhaust stack. Many exhaust ports have been stripped out or broken from the weight of a stack putting pressure on them.
cojo92 Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 EWWWWW!! Whats that green thingy in the picture??? a fuguess? HAHA!
simplejim Posted March 26, 2009 Author Posted March 26, 2009 dirtsaver, the green machine is a 140H3,shaft driven,3 spool hydraulics, and drum turning brakes.the wheel horse is a 416 8 speed with a twin onan and only 306 hours.i know what you mean about weight on the exhaust ports and im normaly very careful.the chrome turnout pipe on the 700 is the first one i ever installed, its been on the tractor for 7 or 8 years so long that i never even think about it,its just a part of it.its a thin light pipe and im guessing thats why its been on it so long with no problems.the way the old 7hp big block briggs pop, pop, pops does sound very good thru the open exhaust.
