simplicity 7018

have an 7018 with a k361 shop says they can't fix it for lack of parts , does anyone know of a b&s or kohler , or other motor that switch without major problems ? the rest of the tractor is in great shape . sawdust

Sawdust, what is wrong with the K361? The only parts that are hard to find is the rocker arms. Everything else is available (essentially the same parts as a K341). The easy switch is any of the K series Kohlers with the large oil pan. Many Kohlers for Cub Cadets and others like Bolens have a different oil pan. But any of the old cast iron B&S will drop right in, but will need a drive coupling and a change in electrical (magneto ignition vs. the Kohler battery ignition).
