Front axels...6216 & 7117 compatible?

Hello All, I own a used 6216 with a front end which wasn't maintained very well... (lack of lube) I see a 7117 hydro listed for sale in the paper (for parts) and wonder if the front end on it is decent; would it fit on the 6216? Anyone possibly know.. I haven't seen the 7117 up close...just wondering if it might be worth the trip. Thanks All... Joe

6216 is completely different tractor from a 7117 - I don't believe that any of the major parts are interchangeable! Tom

Thanks Guys... I'm just getting started (as many have) and since our supply is slowly drying up; I look for whatever comes around in case it may work. Much appreciate your expertise in this arena. Joe
