hydro lift handle

my 7118 hydraulic lift handle has excessive play in it. I stopped by to look at the new sovereigns today and the handle on them only traveled about 4-5 inches to raise and lower deck. Mine travels about 10-12 inches. any sugestions on how to adjust this?

I had one like that once. It needed a re-build kit avail at dlrs.Possibly the spring[s] inside spool valve are broken.

Check to see if the lever to linkage nut has loosened up - you can access it from the opposite side with a long socket extension. Also the link can wear, causing excessive slop.

Likely the square has worn on the shaft & arm. Both are available or could be repaired with weld & fitting. Bill
