tru power

I did some side work and got the $$ for a pair of tru powers, so I went to Miller Tire who y'all speak highly of. This morning I got an email reply from Miller saying the Tru Power tires are no longer available in 23x10.5-12 yikes! I don't like the super lugs nearly as well. Is there another choice? I'm looking now for other dealers with the tires I want in stock. (hope I don't spark a run on 23x10.5-12 Tru Powers!) -Don

Actually I think that's backwards, the super lugs do not come in the 23x10.50x12 or 26x12x12 sizes anymore. The tru powers are the ones they still offer in these sizes, at least according to the Carlsile site.

I have 23x8.50 Deestones on my HB-216, and don't care for them at all. The lugs are small and relatively short -- about the same size as the lugs on the Superlug but there's a few (couple) more of them -- they're more closely spaced than the Superlug. They also run smaller sized, in comparison -- they're not nearly as big as some 8.50 Carlise turfs I have -- neither as tall nor as wide. Bottom line is that I now wish I had paid the extra $$ for something else, but I tried to save a buck when I bought them... TruPowers are my choice in 10.50s or Power Tracs in 8.50s... or the elusive, expensive 23-degree Firestones.
