Quick mower bearing question

Recommended Posts

OrangeMetalGuy
Putting in a couple new bearings - the old ones were covered in grease, but am I correct in assuming they are sealed pre-lubed bearings? I don't see any way to pack grease into them. Also, when the arbor is assembled do I need to squeeze enough grease into it to fill up the entire assembly with grease, or just a few squirts? thanks.

They are a sealed bearing. The grease in the cavity is to keep moisture out. I fill mine when I install new bearings but have taken them apart and there was very little if any in them. The ones that didn`t have much grease in them were very rusty inside and harder to take apart.
