How I Fixed A Hole In The Block---

I had a Kohler 12 HP engine-- just like the other fellow here that had his blow a hole in the block while tilling. What I did was took apart the engine to find a broken rod. Everything else looked and measured out ok. replaced piston/ rings and rod. Fine except for the inch hole. What I did was bore out the hole , then tapped out for a pipe thread, then installed a pipe plug. No leaks. Has ran fine for 7 years......

LesH, that's outstanding, I would love to get a picture of that! The sight glass idea would just be way over the top! Thanks for sharing.

I thought that was JB Weld was for. At least according to their advertising. Kidding aside, good idea.

I have NEVER had anything that was fixed with JBWeld stay fixed. Must be just me....
