Stupid Loaded Tire Question

I'm geting ready to load the ags on my 918, couldn't you load em with sand? Anyone ever done so? Thanks, Mike

Yes, a product called Rim Guard is based on sugar beet juice. Has good weight - over 10 pounds per gallon, good freeze protection, won't rot out rims. It is expensive compared to chloride, and many tire stores won't touch it if you need repairs. Stinks like crazy too - smells like rancid beets or something. Leave the valve stem alone once they are loaded - it's messy too. Tim

The sand in the tires will create a ton of friction as it is roling around in the tires and suck up tons of horspower. XX(

ever polish rocks? that's what will happen to your rim and the rubber on the tire will eventually wear to cords inside.
