7010 getting there

Recommended Posts

Ok! For those of you who are following my progress. The 7010 is up and running today after a point job and a carb rebuild. Now that it is up and running I have discovered that the clutch pedal does not disengage the drive belts traction causing a grinding when shifting into gears. What's next? I do have old belts and the pulleys could probably use some polishing but is there an obvious problem I am missing? I did see the 1/4" gap section on the clutch pedal linkage and now I am stumped. Help please.

On the 7010 tractor the guide/cover on the BGB pulley needs to be nearly touching the pulley. At max, 1/8 inch clearance. If it is too far away from the pulley, or there is no front cover on the belt, then the clutch will not release properly.
