Holy Tires Batman!!!

I noticed a while ago and it slipped my mind...only to slip back in :) the tires on my AC B-112 B-210 and Simplicity 7010 all have rear tires with small holes in the tread. If these were used to inject rubber in to the tire shouldn't they be hair like projections ie nipples. Where they utilized for tire studs of something to that effect? Thanks guys, john

nope they are for studs like they put into car tires for better traction in the winter.Never seen any put in.Bob
