simplicity 6216

I was just given (free) a 1984/85 6216 with a mower deck. The tractor is in rough shape but I'm told it runs but lacks power. Is this tractor worth fixing? The mower deck has some rust holes. Are parts still available? Your thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!!

Hello Tim, If you don't want it, I'll take it !!! But seriously, I have a 1981 6216 and have been impressed with it's ability. It mowes great, and with lug tires on it I have plowed mountains of dirt, stone, and snow. Almost every part is still available at reasonable cost from the dealer. Call Simplicity Tech Pubs and order a set of manuals and you should be able to get it straightened out in no time. Good luck
