My oldest boy traded $100 worth of time for it from his new employer, Cole Implement( long time Alis Chalmer & now Agco delaer) in Media Illinois. He's working there now under internship from the diesel program at college. Apparently this was in the showroom when the showroom & offices burned some time back. I dont know what he thinks he can save, but more power to him. Its well beyond any effort I'd personally be willing to put out. In my estimation the tranny, power steering and lift are all cashed out. I think hes looking at trying to save the engine maybe. tin would probably be Ok maybe. Deck shell is pretty nice. Since this has power steering would it have been a DuetZ 920 rather than a AC 920 ? I havnt talked to him other than he got it. It was here at home yesterday when I got back from work. Another yarsd ornament for now I suppose...

Personally, They should have gave it to him! $100.00 is way more than scrap price, and our experience with ones like this is it's only good for scrap. Guess hes looking at salvaging the motor?

Actually after looking at it apart while hes working on it today, the deck is probably worth the $100. Its not bad save for the paint. Undersides of the tractor still have paint. Bevel Gear box seems well savable with some new seals installed. We have a spare tranny here, so thats covered. The power steering will probably be unfixable, but we have manual steering parts available. So it all hinges on getting the engine looked at. Hes a diesel mech, so I gues hes qualified to make that call

That's a drastic way of prepping for a re-paint. Glad you or your son didn't own it before. Hope the after pictures will be back to showroom condition.
